1956

OPENING OF THE FIRST BAKERY IN FLORENCE.

Those were the post-war years, in a Florence destroyed by bombing Umberto Nocentini, born in 1920, opened his small neighborhood bakery. From the outset, among the timeless classics such as the original Tuscan pane sciocco, the Schiacciata Toscana began to get noticed for its excellence.

1980

PRODUCTION EXPANDS AQAFARINA IS BORN

The golden years of the economic boom. Andrea Nocentini, Umberto’s son, transforms the small shop into a factory and the aqafarina products arrive on tables all over Italy. A traditional production supported by new ideas and innovative recipes: in addition to the Tuscan classics such as Pane and Schiacciata, the ovens open to production of desserts, tarts, savory snacks and much more.

2001

LAUNCH OF PANBRIACO STREETFOOD

Florence, Milan and Brescia are the first cities to host the new idea of streetfood conceived launched by Tommaso Nocentini, the third generation of the family of bakers, with the Panbriaco brand. A great success for a simple, artisanal local product rich in history.

2022

OPENING OF AQAFARINA CASCAIS

Luca Bastagli Ferrari and his daughter Manon opened the first AQAfarina bistro outside of Italy, in Portugal, in the center of Cascais, 50 meters from the beach. Cascais’s history as a popular seaside resort originated in the 1870s, when King Luís I of Portugal and the Portuguese royal family made the seaside town their residence every September, thus also attracting members of the Portuguese nobility, who established a summer community there.
